Our house was built in 1833 as a farm. The building permit from the Imst district office dated December 21, 1833 allowed the construction of a dwelling with a barn and stables. The large entrance area (now the kitchen-living room of the Schwalben Suite) shows that at that time it was possible to drive to the adjacent barn with a wagon. Soon after the construction, the house was run as an inn. My mother Erika ran the house as an inn with guest rooms until 1978, when it was renovated. From then on, my parents, Erika and Ferdinand, concentrated on the family business, a cattle and meat trade. We, Rene and Friederike, have reopened the house to guests in the old tradition.
